Allow us to reminisce on the month of November by digesting the drops that caught your interest. November dropped no shortage of bangers, quickly helping to purge our bank accounts and fill our already shrinking storage spaces. With Thanksgiving only just behind us, we thought it was appropriate to reminisce on the releases we were thankful for in November.

Amidst some eye-catching GR drops, we witnessed one of the best Jordan colabs of the year, stunts pulled by shops, an abundance of restocks, and some hot animated collaborations. So, without further ado, here are the top 10 releases and their stories that inflamed your internet browsers:

1

Secure Your Yeezy 350 v2 ‘Zebra’ with Yeezy Mafia Now

Our good friends over at Yeezy Mafia threw out another bone last month. For a mere £20 fee you were offered a chance to secure your pair of Kanye West’s lasted 350 v2 ‘Zebra’. It was a small fee to ensure that you don’t have to battle the resale market. Though it was unclear just how many spots YM was officially opening up, the inventory reached just over 12,000. Did you take them up on their generous offer?

Customers Forced to Wear the Air Jordan 1 ‘Not For Resale’ Out the Door

One of the more ridiculous stunts we’ve seen pulled this year was the brainchild of Kentucky-based retailer Oneness who used the release of the Air Jordan 1 ‘Not for Resale’ to stick it to the resellers. The independent store forced customers to wear the sought-after Jays after purchasing them. And they even made the customers leave without the box. It’s hard to say if the stunt helped to challenge the resale market, or if it actually meant the shoes ended up in the hands of those that wanted them.

Official Pics: Nike Air Max Plus OG ‘Sunset’

Hot on the heels of the news of its impending return, the coveted OG ‘Sunset’ edition of the Air Max Plus was set free upon the world this month. In one of the larger advertising campaigns Nike has done for the Plus, our feeds were flooded with images both on-and-off-foot of this setting beauty. It’s no secret we are forever fans of this silhouette, so you better know there was a multitude of pairs arriving at Sneaker Freaker HQ.,

Release Info: Union LA x Jordan Brand Collection

After Union LA played trickster at the Rose Bowl Market to reveal their Jordan Brand colab, anticipation for the two Air Jordan 1s had reached fever pitch. And, by the time of release, Union’s colab was already a contender for collaboration of the year. Which means it shouldn’t come as a surprise that our sources revealed some of the stockists reached a record number of sign-ups on their November raffle.

First Look: Rick and Morty x Diadora Collaboration on the Way

November seemed the appropriate time to bust open that Szechuan Sauce we’ve been saving. The occasion? Diadora unveiled a rather animated collaboration, linking up with Rick and Morty, serving out a line that included two N902 colourways — one based on Rick, and the other based on Morty. The only thing we were left thinking was: wubba lubba dub dub!

Stock Numbers Revealed: Yeezy BOOST 350 v2 ‘Sesame’

Mr West continued his end-of-year onslaught, with the Yeezy BOOST 350 v2 ‘Sesame’ hitting retailers on Black Friday weekend. As usual, the gang from Yeezy Mafia came through with a detailed breakdown of US and European stock numbers ahead of the drop, and it looked like these were going to be more difficult to get a hand on than first anticipated. Did you manage to cop?

Nike Unveil Jordan and Penny SB ‘Rivals’ Pack

One for the SB and basketball fans. Nike released a rivals pack featuring a ‘Bred’ SB Dunks and Foamposite-inspired SB Air Force 2 Lows. The kicks actually go together and make up an MJ vs. Penny ‘Rivals’ pack. A nod to the duels between the GOAT and the Magic star during the 90s, the skate-ready release saw the iconic ‘Bred’ Air Jordan 11 transformed into a high-top Dunk, while Penny’s Air Foamposite One comes in the form of a low-top SB Air Force 2.

Customers Forced to do Push-Ups to Crease Air Jordan 1s

When we first heard the news that Oneness forced the customers to wears their Jay’s out the door, we we left wondering. Then a mystery retailer went one step further and made their shoppers do push-ups to crease their new Jays. We didn’t actually believed it until we’d watched the video. The tactic was meant to ensure customers abided by the ‘Please Crease’ appeal on the sneaker’s toe box.

Restock Alert: atmos x Nike Air Max 95 ‘Animal 2.0’

If you talk iconic releases with any Air Max 1 collector, without a doubt, Japanese retailer atmos’ name will pop-up in conversation. For those who took advantage of atmos’ Air Max 1 ‘Animal 2.0’ restock in September, there arose the chance to complete the set. Their fur-swathed Nike Air Max 95 released in atmos locations across the country. Unfortunately, unless you lived in Japan or had a connect, you weren’t getting your hands on these.
