From Hectic Colabs to Sick GR Kicks, Here's How May Could Drain Your Wallet
The month that passed saw a flurry of new releases, leaks and exciting news. Before we knew it, April was over. It seems 2019 is moving faster than anticipated, so we thought we would take a moment, slow down, and show you what you have to look forward to in May. Without further ado, let’s check out the happenings of next month.
What’s Going Round the Rumour Mill?
We’ve all been waiting patiently for the sacai x Nike colab to drop. After major delays, stress and sleepless nights, we now have a speculative release date. According to py_rates_ the coveted colab will hit shelves on May 2. Other news around the notorious sacai drop is the two potential new colourways that have surfaced. We’ll be sure to build a detailed guide of when and where you can purchase each colourway, so stay tuned.,
Another highly anticipated release is Travis Scott’s reverse Swoosh Air Jordan 1 which has been rumoured to receive a wider release this month. Be prepared for this one sneakerheads, everyone’s about to go nuts.
Tailwinds, Vomeros and React Prestos Galore!
We would be lying if we said we weren’t excited about the return of the Tailwind IV, or that we weren’t keen on some of the new Vomero +5 colourways, or that we weren’t digging certain details on the new React Presto. Whatever your personal opinions are on these silhouettes, there has to be at least one colourway that’ll have you handing over all your cash in a heartbeat. Don’t say we didn’t warn you though, a bombardment from all three is coming your way this month, so make sure your wallet is prepared.
Clot
Now, when we saw these kicks we were left speechless. Clot have teamed-up with Team Swoosh on the Air Max 97 Haven. Three stunning colourways are coming to us on May 5, causing bank balances to shrink away faster than the babysitter’s boyfriend when the car pulls up.
May The 4th Be With You
Who else is gearing up for May 4th? No, not because you’re a Star Wars fan, but because the ‘Bred’ Air Jordan 4 is making its way to your local sneaker shop. With its last appearance being in 2012, and featuring the ‘Nike Air’ branding on the back, you know these are going to be a hard cop. We sincerely wish you luck on your quest to purchase a pair, and hope you’re not stuck paying a large amount on the resell market.
Nike SB, Baby!
Fan of the AJ1? And also of Nike SB? Well, the legendary fusion is back with two kicks releasing very soon. Both pairs feature the sick wear-away concept created by skateboard legend Lance Mountain. As time passes, and the shoes get worn, the Lakers colourway will shed and reveal Chicago colours, while the grey version will expose a tonal pink.
Very ready for the V5
New Balance fans are excited about the NB990 V5. Having already dropped in the oh so beautiful grey on grey colourway, expect some more to be making their way into stores very soon. We’ve already seen a navy and white colourway, and an all-over black look, and they should be available on May 4!
If we’re almost halfway through the year and it’s been this good, we can’t wait to see what the rest of 2019 holds!
