Event Recap: LACES OUT! Trainer Festival Returns to Liverpool
Celebrating its fifth birthday, the LACES OUT! Trainer Festival returned for a bash in its OG home: the Camp and Furnace Dock in Liverpool, England.
Revered as the North West’s largest celebration of trainers, lifestyle and streetwear, the event once again lived up to its lofty reputation, bringing together sneaker lovers from not only the UK, but all over the globe.
It was a jamboree we simply couldn’t miss, so we set up a special chill-out area alongside the dozens of traders and vendors, to take in the good vibes.
Hundreds flocked in to browse through thousands of rare, vintage and deadstock trainers, with the rooms split between hardcore adidas fans and another with all other brands dedicated to general collectors.
Lovers of the Three Stripes brought a welcome change to the festival, coming through with a renewed focus on terrace shoes. Meanwhile, the general room was packed with all kinds of Grails, with the Air Max 95 (a local favourite) featuring on plenty of tables. To our delight, we spotted the ‘Neon’ colourway on numerous occasions – we’re still waiting for another retro, Nike!
Sneakers aside, patrons flocked to the stalls selling art prints, display material and, of course, Stone Island and C.P. Company goodies.
Last but not least, our chill-out area was spruced up with copies of The Ultimate Sneaker Book and Issue #42 of the mag. To commemorate the Nike Air Spiridon feature in the issue, our very own Morgan Weekes put his own killer stash up for display.
Thanks to everyone who popped by and said ‘hi’!
