7 of the Sweetest ‘Oreo’ Sneakers Ever
There are some colourways that just get our collective tastebuds watering, and ‘Oreo’ continues to be one of the most popular and prolific examples of crep-fectionery appearing on our release radars. It seems all the big brands have dipped into the speckled scheme over the years, with the combination consistently a highlight in GR lineups, once again proven by 2021’s Air Jordan 4 ‘White Oreo’ drop.
As sweet as these ‘Oreos’ might seem, we don’t advise licking or dunking ‘em under any circumstances. Here are our picks for the best ever ‘Oreo’ sneakers.
Air Jordan 4 ‘Oreo’
It was love at first bite when the OG ‘Oreo’ colourway released back in 1999 on the Air Jordan 4, and again when it last retro’d in 2015. Characterised by its black, white and grey tones, the scheme and its speckled midsole would become a staple among the Swoosh roster.
Air Jordan 5 ‘Oreo’
Carrying on the Jumpman’s ‘Oreo’ lineage, this Air Jordan 5 was one of the brand’s best-selling colourways when it debuted in 2013. Fans have had to wait a while, but ,rumours are suggesting it will be coming back in 2021. Fingers crossed!
Yeezy BOOST 350 V2 ‘Oreo’
The ubiquitous Yeezy BOOST 350 V2 has seen a few renditions dubbed ‘Oreo’, with the most recent releasing in 2020. However, the original and best has got to be this version released in 2016. Attracting some hefty coin on the resale market, the colourway isn’t the most cookie-like crep we’ve seen, but we can’t go against the fans.
Nike Dunk Low Flyknit ‘Oreo’
Could these be the comfiest Dunks in existence? Debuting in 2017, a little before the current renaissance, this colourway appeared during a time where the Swoosh were on a bit of a Flyknit frenzy.
Nike Kobe 10 Elite Low HTM ‘Oreo’
Some of the NBA’s best have laced up ‘Oreo’ signature sneakers, including LeBron James, Kyrie Irving, Kevin Durant and, most notably, the late Kobe Bryant. Most fans will probably remember the Kobe 11 Elite Low, but this rare Kobe 10 Elite Low HTM is the smartest cookie in The Mamba’s stash.
Nike Flyknit Racer ‘Oreo 1.0’
Nike’s all-conquering Flyknit material lends itself perfectly to the ‘Oreo’ scheme, and Beaverton haven’t been afraid to apply it to various models, including the Flyknit Trainer, Mariah Flyknit, and the Flyknit Racer. The latter released in 2013, going on to become one of the most iconic Flyknit sneakers to date, and one of the true fan-favourites in the Swoosh lineup.
