Paris Fashion Week has been very interesting on the sneaker front, from an abundance of Bunny boots to diseased looking Converse. CDG collaborated with Jordan Brand on a fresh new AJ1, Heron Preston dialled it up a notch with Nike, and we have new Undercover silhouettes.

We thought London was crazy, but wait until you see the heat coming out of Paris.

It's Bunny Season

Fashion's Yoon Ahn recently debuted an Ambush x Converse collaboration featuring a Bunny Boot—inspired silhouette. The world-famous Bunny Boot was created by Converse for use in the military, to withstand harsh cold weather climates. Now it has been inducted into the fashion world having inspired many designers, including Raf Simons. Now, Takahiro Miyashita has been swayed into creating his own version and sending them down the runway under his namesake label: TAKAHIROMIYASHITA TheSoloist.

Distorted Classics

Despite actually starting his career in footwear, Mihara Yasuhiro is relatively unknown in the sneaker world. Beginning his eponymous label in 1997, he creates classic garments with a twist, with a use of asymmetry and wayward design that you could compare to the likes of Comme des Garçons or Yohji Yamamoto. Having previously collaborated with the likes of Converse and DC, we saw him take to the runway with his usual sculptured Converse and Vans inspired kicks. Checkerboard Old Skools and Chuck 70 Low look-a-likes had their sole's appearing distorted, diseased and grotesque.

Would you be game enough to wear these?

Vetements Continue with Reebok

Vetements is known for two things: high price tags and having a tongue-in-cheek attitude when making clothes. With their head designer being none other than the God of the dad sneaker, Demna Gvasalia, Vetements have taken to the runway for FW19 and created their own iteration of the classic Reebok premier runner. In 2019 this is a shoe destined for success, with the running silhouette becoming a popular trend. Once this new model hits the streets, it's sure to be a viral success.

Y3 Does What Y3 do Best

We all know that Y3 is Yohji Yamamoto and adidas' love child, and after every season they leave us begging for more. FW19 however came in as one of the strongest, featuring a beautiful array of clothing and a  slew of new models. Last year we saw the Kaiwa dominating the Y3 scene, now we have a number of silhouettes which could take the throne of the Kaiwa or even the Qasa.

We will be sure to update you whenever this Y3 fire is available to cop.

Will They Break the Internet Again?

Last year, Undercover broke the Internet after they collaborated with Nike on the React Element 87. Will they do it again? Well, two seperate models in a number of colourways debuted on the runway in Paris last week. The sneaker boot, which gave off major futuristic vibes and, of course, multiple new colourways of the Air Max 720. Undercover and Nike have been killing it lately, so don't expect this colab to stop anytime soon.

A Not so HERONdeous Colab...

Heron Preston went ahead showing his collection at Palais de Tokyo, that beautiful building in Paris. Apart from the building, another beautiful thing we came across was Heron's reinterpretation of Nike's Huarache E.D.G.E. Preston shared his inspiration behind choosing the model: ‘Having worked at Nike and understanding the full breadth of product categories the brand has to offer, I wanted to be the person to take on the challenge of identifying and celebrating new stuff’. After this start, we hope there are more exciting things in the works for Heron Preston and Nike.

Air Kawakubo 1

The Comme des Garçons Homme Plus show came around and, of course, blessing your screen is a crazy colab with Nike. They aren't Shox, and they aren't a platform Cortez, they are actually from Jordan Brand: the iconic Air Jordan 1 model. No one saw this coming, and with a very punk-like aesthetic we are all hoping this gets given a release date.
