After recently hooking up with Reebok Classics to curate the City Classics Pack, New York City graffiti writer/sneaker aficionado Stash has taken some time to talk graff with the Bok. While reminiscing about creeping on yards, Stash also draws parralels between the sneaker scene and train painting.
'There's definitely a direct correlation between the mentality of a graffiti artist and a sneakerhead. It's the same thing to me as when we used to paint trains, there's a movement, it's moving. When you paint a train in New York that train went from the Bronx to Brooklyn through Manhattan and it was seen by multiple people. When people wear a fresh pair of kicks, you know, people tend to look down... You know when somebody is looking at your footwear."
