Saint Alfred may have you feelin' like you're in a shoebox, but don't underestimate it. With offerings from high-end NEIGHBORHOOD, Raf Simons and Cav Empt, to crowd-pleasers like Jordan Brand and Medicom (to name a few), Saint Alfred has one of the broadest ranges of high-quality footwear in Chicago. They're a go-to for limited releases, but if you’re not lucky enough to cop a rare pair, there's still plenty to pique your interest.
Created in 2009 by Chicago natives and streetwear heavyweights Virgil Abloh and Don C, RSVP Gallery is one of Chicago’s premier boutiques. That said, RSVP is about more than just copping: it’s part boutique creative space, and part gallery. No surprise considering its founders. You can find the latest releases from brands like Yeezy, 424, Off-White (of course), and Just Don (of course), next to neon-lit Rolex logos and [email protected] 400%s. They also play host to pop-ups and events, encouraging the community to actually RSVP to more than the capitalism, but also to the culture.
Leaders (or LDRS) 1354 is the perfect place for all your low-key skate-culture needs, stocking brands like adidas, Nike SB, Billionaire Boys Club, and Akomplice Clothing. What’s more, Leaders 1354 stays true to their name by creating and stocking their own hand-drawn portraits of cultural leaders like Muhammad Ali, MalcomX, Barack Obama and Martin Luther King, Jr. Prints are $10 and available for purchase in store and online.
Need your daily dose of hype? Diplomatic 1750 has you covered. As one of the Windy City’s leading consignment shops, Diplomatic 1750's rotating line-up of sellers keeps the shelves stacked with new heat and old favourites. There's always a surprise to be had, so your best bet is to head in-store and find some grails, or check out their Instagram for a preview. Even better, make a pitstop at each of their three locations in the Chicago area!
Notré is a high-end boutique with an expensive feel and fashion to match, with brands including Alyx Studios, Canada Goose, Bianca Chandon, Off-White, Stone Island, and more. The women’s selection is as expansive as the men's, so there's something for everyone. Notré is closed on Mondays and Tuesdays and gets crowded during raffles and limited-edition drops, so do your best to avoid visiting at those times. That said, if you’re looking for an eclectic mix of brands, products, and people, Notré fits the bill!
Established in 2015, Boneyard has made a name for itself as one of Chi-Town’s best sneaker resale shops. Their curated combination of vintage pieces, streetwear, and sneakers has earned them a spot on this list. Boneyard also carries their own collection of eerie merch with bats and skull-and-crossbones motifs. The store’s atmosphere inside is light and airy, with walls full of sneaker, racks full of clothes, cabinets stacked with Supreme accessories, and a sneaker claw machine to try your luck!
Known by all, and loved by no less, Succezz is another one of Chicago’s sneaker MVPs, with a hefty supply of Nike, Jordan, and adi, as well as their own merch. The Succezz team love the community, sharing shots of happy customers after a big purchase and giving their followers at look at their latest steals. If you’re in Chicago, definitely stop by Succezz and join the family!
If you’re a fan of Nike, you should definitely make a point to stop in Chicago’s NikeTown. Nike has always had a special connection with Chi-Town, and this store definitely shows it. With Jordan-themed installations sprinkled throughout the store, Nike pays homage to Chicago in a fun and interesting way. It's not just a must-see for bball lovers, either. NikeTown has all your performance and streetwear needs sorted, as well as stocking some limited-edition releases. No matter what you’re looking for, you should stop at NikeTown, even if it’s just to pay respects.
If you’re looking for deadstock, limited edition sneakers, Chicago’s Sky Walker checks both of those boxes. Highlighted brands include Nike, PUMA, Jordan Brand, adidas, Reebok, and New Balance, and they even stock some hype apparel. Sky Walker also has a nice selection of women’s kicks, which you can peruse via a peek at their Instagram. If you’re a reseller or looking to purchase a grail, Sky Walker has you covered.
