That's right kids. Sneaker Freaker is hosting a massive New Years Eve party at Revolver in conjunction with The Late Show and Opulent Magazine. This New Years Eve Revolver plays host to two of the most innovative artists in US club music. South Rakkas Crew have exploded on the international music scene since their formation in 2002. Massive dancehall riddems including Clappas, Red Alert and Chinkuzi earnt them worldwide attention, heralding a new direction in club music fusing dancehall with established club genres from electro to Miami bass. Their unmistakable sound has found massive international support with the crew (now signed to Diplo's Mad Decent label) securing production and remix credits for artists including DJ Shadow, Lily Allen, Justin Timberlake, Tricky, Beenie Man, Vybz Cartel and Bounty Killer.
They are joined this NYE by the undisputed Godfather of Baltimore club music: Unruly Records founder Scottie B. With 20 odd years at the helm of Baltimore's unique club scene, international recognition has come as something of a surprise to Baltimore's finest. He has proved more than up to the challenge, weaving a trail of decimated dancefloors the world over while releasing swathes of original and innovative club music drawing on Baltimore's iconic raw sound.
The Late Show, Opulent and Sneaker Freaker join forces to provide top shelf local support, magazine, music and clothing giveaways, and one very excitable host, Sneaker Freaker's own MAFIA. With some of Melbourne's finest hip hop, disco and electro DJs all night in the backroom (plus all the usual hijinx), this is the only place to be this NYE. A limited number of very nice price presales are available for an incredibly low $25 here but they won't last long.
