Rockets star PJ Tucker is set to open his first sneaker boutique in Houston later this year.
The location within the city is yet to be confirmed, however Tucker says the store will be called Better Generation.
‘We’re looking to do the grand opening in October,’ Tucker said in a live Q&A with Nice Kicks. ‘We’ve got a lot of dope colabs coming. We’re going to have some fun with it, and I’m excited about that.’
While Tucker isn’t the first NBA player to venture down this path, the prospect of the league’s most prominent sneakerhead creating his own store should be enough to get the locals buzzing.
‘From the beginning of time, all I’ve ever done is hoop, and this culture of sneakers has always been a part of it,’ he said. ‘It’s hand in hand.’
