The Independent Pleasure Club may sound like the not particularly exclusive society most pubescent adolescents enter at some point, but back in the early 1900s minds weren't in the gutter, and the ICP of New Jersey was a dominant African American basketball team. Due to segregation, white and black Americans didn't compete in the same league until 1950, and ICPNJ was a 'Black Fives' club successful on and off the hardcourt, with a flourishing social intellectual culture. You can learn all about the history of the club here, but let's move on to the garments in this capsule. Packer Shoes hook up with '47 Brand, and the range features three Captain RF snapbacks, two Open Court t-shirts, an Alpha Tank Top, "All-Time" Crewneck Sweatshirt, an Overload Jacket and IPC Pennant. They're all available right now from Packer Shoes.
