Onitsuka Tiger have been busy celebrating their sixtieth anniversary with a campaign drawing on the Japanese zodiac and its concept of a sixty-year cycle of life. To mark this coming of age and the renewal it brings, Onitsuka Tiger are set to release Made of Japan, a 260 page magazine chronicling the brand’s rich heritage and its present-day fusion of sporting and artistic influences from around the world. Published in conjunction with German style journal Zoo Magazine, the 260 page volume will utilise traditional Japanese book binding techniques. Limited to 10,000 copies worldwide, Made in Japan will be available from September 1st at selected stores including colette, do you read me?! (Berlin), SPRMRKT (Amsterdam), International Magazine Store (Antwerp), Selfridges (London) and Henrik Vibskov Boutique (Copenhagen). A special boxed gift set comprised of the magazine, a pair of shoes and a special anniversary tee will also be released around this date.
