Four months in the making, NikeTalk has teamed up with five immensely talented artists to present NikeTalk's first ever custom sneaker charity auction. 100% of the proceeds will go to Doctors Without Borders, in support of their ongoing efforts to help rebuild Haiti's medical infrastructure, provide on-the-ground care and further their courageous efforts around the world. In addition, NikeTalk will match all winning bids, up to $1,000 per pair to maximize the overall community contribution.
The five sneaker customizers hail from five different cities across the United States: Customs from California, Evolved Footwear from Missouri, JBF Custom Sneakers from Ohio, JGoods Custom Sneakers from Minnesota, and Revive Customs from New York. Each artist was invited to participate due to their dedication to the NikeTalk online forums and superb custom shoe designs since NikeTalk started in 1999.
Opening bids are $100 for the silent auction format. Bidders do not have to be a NikeTalk.com member and may send their bids to [email protected]. The last day to submit bids will be this Sunday, May 23rd. Full details and photos of all five custom shoes are available here: http://niketalk.yuku.com/topic/251406
