Earlier in 2017, Nike undertook the momentous and previously unthinkable task of guiding a runner through the marathon in under two hours. They didn't manage the time, and many thought they’d failed a huge PR push for a new shoe. While the huge PR push aspect is correct, tagging the run as a failure isn’t – and Nike are releasing a documentary to show why.
In partnership with National Geographic, the feature-length doco follows the journey of Nike athletes Eliud Kipchoge, Zersenay Tadese and Lelisa Desisa, and their experience from the seed of the idea through to coming within 25 seconds of realising a dream.
