Over the weekend Nike held an explosive event exhibition showcasing some of their leading football innovations for 2014. Obviously football is in focus this year with the World Cup about to kick off in Brazil in a matter of weeks, and in the true spirit of competition and innovation Nike has put it all on the table by updating pre-existing models to spawn shoes like the Nike Mercurial Superfly and the Tiempo V, as well as creating all-new releases like the Nike Magista Obra which harnesses their latest technologies. We flew up to Sydney to check it all out and even had the chance to try all of the products in a series of test challenges in their custom designed mega space at Technology Park. But the serious business began when the round-robin indoor football tournament kicked off. We can't say that sitting in front of a computer all day is great training for rigourous energy exertion, but after a shave, a fresh squeezed juice and a quick stretch we were ready to hit the pitch. About forty minutes later the hard training and preparation paid off, we risked everything and came home with a glorious medal. Cheers Nike! For more from Nike Football, click here.
