Nike’s Air Pegasus is one of those models that often falls under the radar, but after being reworked almost once a year for three straight decades, we think it’s about time we all stood up for a round of applause. 2013 marks the 30 year anniversary and to celebrate Nike have been flossing the silhouette with some serious shine. We’ve enjoyed the faithful classic retros including the 92 USA Team edition and the OG 89 Quickstrike pack, as well as some hybrids like the Lunar Pegasus 89 and of course the newest member to the family the Nike Air Pegasus+ 30.
Since 1983 the Pegasus has been a lightweight staple in the running realm, and although it has evolved and taken on a slew of technologies, the Pegasus has never lost that clean cut and simple look. The most current version, the Nike Air Pegasus+ 30, harnesses all today’s riches from the Nike Innovation Kitchen including Engineered Mesh and Hyperfuse for added ventilation, structural support and a seamless fit, while down below superb cushioning is delivered via a Cushlon midsole foam unit with an encapsulated Zoom Air unit for added responsiveness.
