After teasing the silhouette at the end of October, Nike have gone the whole hog on the announcement of the next generation of Air Force 1s. Since 1982 the shoe has been changing and evolving with each new generation morphing into a force to be reckoned with. We’ve seen the shoe take on new weaves, higher and lower profiles, fusions and zips – and now we’re seeing it turn into this SF utilitarian adaption.
The newest version in the lineage goes sky high with the collar and comes clad in fortified materials. With a full grain leather and ballistic nylon build, interchangeable straps and ‘Espionage Tongue Storage’, it definitely has some Batman-esque gadgetry sensibilities. But it also slots in seamlessly with the current fashion climate. A military inspired carry bag also comes with the SF AF1, which has the same detachable straps as the shoe.
All colourways of the Nike SF Air Force 1 will be available on November 5 from the SNKRS page of Nike online, bar the white version which will be exclusive to ComplexCon.
