Manu Ginobili Breaks Through Shoes On Court

A lot of us have probably experienced blowouts with our own dogged shoes over the years, but you don't expect to see it go down on the NBA hardwood, and certainly not with this intensity. Overnight, Manu Ginóbili‬ was going hard in the paint for his beloved Spurs, so hard in fact that his foot pushed all the way through the sole of his Nike Zoom DT to the floor. Coach had to call time out so Manu wasn't sliding along the floor in his white socks. It was a bizarre moment, no doubt, and pundits are split on whether it's embarrassing for Nike or whether it was actually an ingenious 'crumple zone' innovation that may have saved G unit from a serious foot injury. Hmmm, where do you stand on it? Check out our brilliant photoshopping skills in the gallery above showing you how it went down, or watch it in real time below.
