Imagine your favourite sneaker. Now, imagine taking a knife to it, hacking it to pieces and then stitching it back together to wear on your face. Such is the concept behind modern sneaker masks! The very thought is enough to have us shaking in our grails, but not the folk at New York's Museum of Modern Art. MoMA has officially added Zhijun Wang's Yeezy BOOST 350 sneaker mask to its permanent collection.
The Beijing-based designer has become prolific for his elaborate mask designs made from highly desirable sneakers such as ACRONYM's Air Prestos, Supreme's Air More Uptempos and the adidas Speedfactory AM4LDN. His products are hugely popular in major cities with serious pollution problems.
