NIKE OFFICIALLY REVEAL VIRGIL ABLOH COLLABORATIVE COLLECTION

After months of teasing, Nike have officially revealed their collaboration with Off-White founder Virgil Abloh. The ten-shoe collection, which has been fittingly dubbed ‘The Ten’, features a mix of classic models, like the Air Jordan 1 and Blazer, as well as a selection of Nike’s latest silhouettes, including the Air VaporMax and React Hyperdunk 2017, all of which have been deconstructed and redesigned with a DIY aesthetic.

CONCEPTS LAUNCH NEW STORE WITH TREASURE HUNT AND EXTREMELY LIMITED BOOSTS

Concepts launched their new Cambridge location over the weekend, teaming up with adidas to host a treasure hunt on the streets of Boston in celebration of the occasion. While plenty of rare sneakers were up for grabs for the public, the rarest were reserved for Concepts’ friends and family. Just 17 pairs of limited edition UltraBOOSTs were made to celebrate the opening.

SKEPTA X NIKE AIR MAX 97 COLAB REVEALED

Nike have collaborated with UK grime artist Skepta to produce a limited edition make-up of the Air Max 97. The colab is inspired by the metallic exterior of the Air Tuned Max – an obscure Tuned Air model from the late 90s.

A BOLD NEW ADIDAS SILHOUETTE LEAKS

A new Three Stripes silhouette emerged last week, featuring an aggressively flared and textured midsole. Speculation is rife as to whether the model is built atop a new cushioning platform, though the bold design is said to be called the Prophere.

NIKE'S CEO CONDEMNS WHITE SUPREMACISTS

US President Donald Trump’s response to the recent white supremacist rally in Charlottesville, Virginia, resulted in a wealth of criticism and resignations. In response, Nike CEO Mark Parker chose to speak out about the incident, issuing a company-wide email that condemned the actions of the white supremacists, stating that ‘What happened in Charlottesville isn’t just morally shameful; it goes against everything we stand for.’

TWO NEW YEEZY POWERPHASE COLOURWAYS REVEALED

Two new colourways of the adidas Yeezy Powerphase have been revealed. The first, a light grey make-up, was spotted on Kanye’s feet when snapped by the paparazzi. The following day, Kim Kardashian took to Snapchat to give fans a closer look at the upcoming release, as well as a never-before-seen black colourway.

INVESTMENT BANKERS WARN INVESTORS NOT TO BUY NIKE STOCK

If you needed any further proof that competition is heating up in the sneaker industry, look to Wall Street. Global investment bank Jefferies has decided that Nike stock is in trouble, and adidas is said to be to blame. Advisors have gone so far as to downgrade Nike stock to ‘hold’, basically saying it’s not safe to buy.

BEYONCÉ TEASES JAY-Z’S PUMA SNEAKER

Beyoncé took to Instagram last week to show off some of the finer details of JAY-Zs upcoming PUMA colab. The new shots of the veg-tan Clyde suggest that only 44 pairs have been made, due to the inscription ‘1:44’ at the toe.
