Behind the Scenes: How Nike Design for NBA Athletes

Nike and the New York Times have teamed up to deliver an in-depth look at the how the brand designs for NBA athletes. The Swoosh’s chief design officer, John Hoke, speaks on the impact that sports and the some of his cushioning experiments, before opening up on how the brand collaborated with the NBA on their high-tech jerseys.

Treating us to a look at their space-age resources, design honchos show how sneakers like the Hyperdunk are tested for impact, the different textiles in LeBron’s latest signature and the thought that goes into little things like stopping fabrics from clinging.
