With the noise being made about the HyperAdapt 1.0 approaching a crescendo Nike have weighed in to dispel rumours with official release information. Previous reports that priced the shoe at $720USD were bang on, but the release dates are a touch more complicated.
You will be able to get the HyperAdapt on December 1, but it will only be the ‘Black/White/Blue Lagoon’ pair. NIKE+ members will have the opportunity to secure the pair from New York’s NIKE+ ClubHouse and Soho store. There they'll have the chance to learn about and even try on the product. But they won’t be the first. A smaller group of members will be able to pick the self-lacing sneaker up before anyone else. They’ll be chosen using the ‘Reserved for You’ system, and then offered the opportunity to purchase. Finally, the 'Black/White/Blue Lagoon' and ‘Metallic Silver/Black/White’ colourways will be available to those in the NIKE+ clan later in December.
Notably absent from this information is the white and gum pair. It’s possible that they could be a more esteemed release in the vein of an HTM – though, at that stage, prices could get a little scary.
