The best thing to come from Canada since maple syrup, Matty Matheson is a chef who has made a living out of being himself. Travelling around the globe, meeting people, cooking for them and entertaining with his full-on repartee is Matheson's bread and butter – so when Hypebeast brought him to New York for a spot of rooftop cooking, he was in his element. Once in the Big Apple, Matheson laced up in the NMD_R2 and trialled the shoe’s nomadic nature by taking it on a trip through the urban jungle. He ventures through landmark locales like Chinatown, Canal Street and Bowery – before heading to Brooklyn to grill some mouth-watering Yakatori with friends. As with most of Matheson’s exploits, everything was captured on camera so you can watch on and live vicariously.
