Last week, for the first time in history, Forbes reported that recording artists have overtaken professional athletes in terms of influence on the sneaker market. And, of all the recording artists out there, none have proven more influential than Kanye West. 'Ye's influence in the sneakersphere is so great that he has practically overtaken Adolf 'Adi' Dassler himself as the face of adidas!
Since signing with adidas in 2013, Kanye quickly made his loyalty to the Three Stripes known — or so we thought. Taking to Twitter to bless us with yet another stream of teases and sneak peeks, 'Ye shared a photo — simply captioned 'shoes' — of what is believed to be his current sneaker rotation.

As expected, the selection is largely compromised of Kanye's own footwear designs, both released and unreleased, as well as a handful of other Three Stripes models, including UltraBOOSTs. What's surprising, however, is that the adidas ambassador seems to have a few off-brand inclusions in his rotation.
Dissecting every last pair, eagle-eyed fans have noticed the presence of what appears to be a grey pair of Balenciaga's Triple S 2.0s, the recent 'Black' Off-White x Nike Air Prestos, and a grey pair of New Balance 990v4s. Given Kanye's love of fashion, his close friendship with Virgil Abloh, and his long-lasting fondness for New Balance, it makes sense that 'Ye would make an exception in his adidas devotion for these particular pairs.

Why are they there? You'll have to ask 'Ye!
