Sneaker culture ignites hype, excitement and joy in most people — but there's also a dark side to the game. Yesterday, a 13-year-old boy, Decklan Manley, was bitten on the cheek for refusing to hand over his pair of Nike TNs (albeit fakes from Thailand).
The incident occured in Sydney, Australia when a man, roughly 18 to 20 years old, asked Decklan where to purchase drugs before demanding that he hand over the shoes. Decklan’s refusal to give in led to an aggressive attack by the unknown man.
It’s unfortunate these situations take place at all, but evidently they do — so be careful out in the wild, sneakerheads!
