Date: March 27 2020

Despite the ongoing COVID-19 crisis, Nike have announced strong Q3 earnings spurred by the biggest release in the brand’s history: the Air Jordan 11 ‘Bred’.

Dropping back in December 2019, the iconic pair was released in large quantities, selling out in just 28 minutes via the SNKRS app, according to newly appointed COO Andy Campion. While the exact numbers haven’t been revealed, it has been rumoured that over a million pairs were produced.

The announcement reaffirms the popularity of the Air Jordan 11, with the 2018 ‘Concord’ colourway widely regarded as the highest selling Nike shoe prior to this Q3 Earnings report.

Could this record be broken again when they retro the ‘Space Jam’? We’ll have to wait to see.
