ASICS x Kiko Kostadinov GEL-Delva 1

The prodigious young talent out of Bulgaria flamed the sneaker scene last year, and Kiko Kostadinov has again linked up with ASICS in 2019 to continue his reign. The GEL-Delva 1 is the third release from the explosive duo, the London-based designer infusing the silhouette with the sort of utilitarian accents typical of Kostadinov’s interests in uniform and workwear.

Don’t sleep on this one; the Central Saint Martins graduate is one of brightest young talents busting up the sneakersphere.

Nike ISPA React Low

The React Element 87 detonated the whole market in 2018, the translucent gem picking up unanimous sneaker of the year awards across the World Wide Web. Nike’s newly established ISPA division (short for Improvise, Scavenge, Protect, Adapt) retooled the silhouette, giving the sneaker a whole new dimension that’s built to respond to your external environment.

Performance aside (the ISPA React packs a water-resistant upper), this is one mighty fine looking design, the ISPA team distorting the sneaker of the year in the toughest way possible.

The PUMA Clyde Court is the Big Cat’s first prowl on the basketball court for 20 years.

We were a little apprehensive when we first caught sight of the silhouette, but with the quick delivery of remixes packing some real bite, the Clyde Court managed to solidify some genuine streetwear longevity beyond the hardwood.

Our pick of the bunch? ‘Ocean Drive’.

adidas Y-3 Kaiwa

Yohji Yamamoto has been pushing the Three Stripes to radical new dimensions ever since his initial linkup back in 2003.  The Y-3 Kaiwa represents one of the legendary Japanese designer’s finest iterations yet — the layered, deconstructed build punctured by an exaggerated tongue unit and Yohji’s minimalist monochrome sensibilities.

Air Jordan 33

The Air Jordan 33 might be the best Jay in a decade, the high top sneakerboot construction given a little extra bump thanks to Travis Scott’s recent link up. Already rendered in multiple, deconstructed aesthetics in the vein of Virgil Abloh, the Air Jordan 33 has more potential than the brand’s seen in recent memory.

Clear the airwaves, the Jumpman is back, baby.
