With so many hyped releases dropping each and every weekend, countless gems are bound to fly under the radar.

That's why, every now and then, we like to highlight some underrated releases that you can still cop with ease.

For this particular installment, we've picked five classic silhouettes, some of which have just recently returned to retail, while others have received modern makeovers.

New Balance 1500 'Tiger Camo'

While New Balance are seeing quite a renaissance with the 99X series, the aggressive 1500 – arguably one of its flagship models – has been taking a backseat. This makeup, however, turns heads with a tiger camo upper and English-made construction. Camo isn’t always the easiest to pull off on a sneaker, so props to NB for doing it right.

New Balance 998 'Coastal'

Beautifully lush, this particular 998 is a standout from the recent 'Coastal' pack, and features a lovely mix of hues that takes us back to a few years ago when every collaborative NB was a veritable smorgasbord of colours. This isn't a colab, but we're sure a lot of stores would be happy to put their name to it.

Puma Inhale Og Footpatrol

PUMA Inhale OG

Recently resurrected (and an Issue #41 cover star), PUMA's Inhale has been praised by connoisseurs and getting a lot of love from the older collectors out there thanks to its status as a nearly picture perfect one-for-one remake of the OG. The easy-on-the-wallet price point doesn't hurt, either, and you can still find pairs at various stockists.

adidas Consortium Lexicon OG

The Three Stripes' updated take on the Lexicon has been on shelves since earlier this year, but we've finally been treated to a true retro of 1994's original masterpiece. While the slightly bulky shape has irked a few collectors, we're still beyond excited to see these return, and they would make a great addition to any adidas aficionado's collection.

3x1 x Nike Air Force 1 Low 'Stonewash Blue'

Denim isn't a rarity when it comes to sneakers; there have been a lot of denim-constructed kicks over the years, some good and many bad. This 3x1-designed AF-1 is definitely the former, and features amazing details like Japanese-sourced denim, 'Bowerman Orange' accents inspired by Nike's founder, and a nod to the New York–based denim experts' signature back pocket 'selvedge reveal' on the eyestay.
