NEW YORK LOOK OUT!
blog by woody 17th Aug 2006
Alritey - finally out the door and into the plane and on my way - another two weeks away from home in the urban jungle. Thanks to the hopeless twats at Qantas, I am forced to endure yeat another fucking 32 hour journey to the big apple! Anyway, the first thing you see in NY is the inside of a cab, which luckily for me has aircon as it's 115 degrees when I arrive. Coming right out of winter - that's a tough transition. By midnight I head out on the street for a bevvy and it's still in the high 80s. This town is nuts. All you can hear is the drone of the aircon... From snow to 40+ degree heat. It's all anyone can talk about. I am the sweatiest, whitest sneaker magazine editor in town.
