One of the nicest things I have seen for ages - meet Jules David! There will be a tee shirt of his image inspired by the Infras. Check it out. www.julesdavid.com
Just back from Japan. Hot and steamy and sticky and muggy as a tomcats nuts. I only bought one pair of shoes - the Safari mid at Atmos.

This is what Tokyo looks like from the 25th floor. And yes, it does go on forever.
You tit!
Dave White had these bad boys with him for the Pimps Show. Straight fire!

Surprisingly there are only a few sneaker stores in LA. Like maybe less than 10! Considering the population this is very weird to say the least. Aside from you know who, the other name store to check would be Grey One, run by Arnold. Nice store ! We've never had anything to do with them and it turns out they are pretty cool dudes so we hang out for a bit and pick up a new stockist for Sneaker Freaker!
Perusing eBay oe night I spied a lime green Roadrunner down in Huntingdon, just south of LA. So I convinced Ric to drive me down there which was a bit cheeky as it's an hour or so, subject to LA traffic which is usually shit to say the least. Anyway, I got real excited from a distance the car looked hot. it's a 73/74 with a 318... the interior was nice but the donk was knackered. And worst of all the paint job was dodgy as hell, these guys just spray old beaters and cover the rust and dings enough to make them look good and put them on eBay. So my dreams of buying a car have taken a beating.... too many sharks on the Bay.

Yup, we're in LA now. It's still hotter than hell and I'm staying with my friend Bobbi in the hills of LA where it is even hotter than downtown. This place is nuts - the power keeps going off. WTF? Anyway, Bobbi is a photographer and a pretty tough chick who is into righteous cars - she used to drive a big-ass Parisienne as a daily. Bobbi took me to meet Jm Wangers who was heavily involved in the introduction of the Pontiac GTO, a car which is widely considered the first muscle car. Jim is a bona fide car legend and yes, he does have a wig but I dont think anyone has the balls to ask him about it.

Anyway, Jim was a lovely old coot, full of stories and with pants that defied logic - how did he get them that high? Jim also has a big shed proudly full of Pontiacs... as well as a few wild drag racing beasts and a ferrari or two. It was enough to make you sick, he even has a full time car butler to look after them all. How cool would that be?
yes!
My favourite car was the Judge in orange, which is a 69 GTO. The whole time I'm thinking to myself 'how can I get a drive in this machine?' but of course, you know how much this car is worth and how you should NEVER ask anyone if you can drive their car. So what does Bobbi do? Now because she is a chick, because she obviously knows her cars, because she actually had the cajones - she asked for a drive and they said yes. I on the other hand wimped out on the 69 and so the car we drove was a 1964 convertible GTO with a wild tri-carb 6.5 litre donk. Estimated value? $130-150,000 usd. How fucking cool is that?

Here's the final sample images for sign off for the Missouri 85 we designed for Lacoste. There's only one small change to the embroidery on th tongue, we switched that one around so it says Sneaker Freaker at the top, whereas the pairs given away on launch night have Snkr Frkr on the heel.
Launched in mid-October, there will be about 15 stores around the world getting pairs plus there will also be about 30 pairs for sale from the Snkr Frkr site.

The launch was first class all the way... A massive thanks to Treis, Chris, Arnaud, Rob, Koolaid and the rest of the Alife Crew... it's like our home away from home and we can't thank you enough. Too tired to blog. Over and out. Next stop Los Angeles.
