Nike Nola Gumbo League Collection
The NBA All-Star game is in sight now, and that means a flurry of special release sneaks are getting prepped to hit shelves. It's an exciting time on the sneaker calendar, and Nike have now revealed their key releases for the weekend – a New Orleans themed pack of their three key player signature sneaks. Taking inspiration from favourite dish of the host city, gumbo, Nike throws a little bit of everything into the hot pot to cook up these spicy sneaks. First up is the 'Gator King', which features Hyperposite panelling that lights up in neon green in the dark – if only real gators gave you that much warning they were coming. Then there's the Elite 'Maestro', somewhat of a sneaker embodiment of the jazz music that serenades the streets all day and all night, with brassy accents repping the city's masterful horn players. Rounding out the pack is a 'Illusion', titled as such because New Orleans isn't always what it appears to be and neither is the deceptively tall but very agile Kevin Durant. The pack will land February 14 at select Nike Basketball retailers and on , and will come packed in a commemorative box with illustrated tarot cards.
