It’s time to break out the big bubbles because Air Max Day is almost here! Celebrating close to three decades of pillow-smooth comfort at 25 PSI, Nike are calling in the heavy-hitter team of Hiroshi Fujiwara, Tinker Hatfield and Mark Parker to reimagine the Air Max franchise for the next-gen of air heads. For Air Max Day 2016, the trio elected to approach the project in isolation for the very first time. The end result is three markedly different fusions of cutting-edge tech and classic Air Max style, each delivered with the signature hallmarks of their respective creators.

First cab off the rank is Hiroshi's contribution to Air Max Day – a stark amalgamation of modern and retro influences. With 1973’s Boston road-runner as his muse, the big-Swoosh silhouette is united with the full length sole unit developed for the Air Max 2014, the pinnacle in contemporary air bag technology. Fusing elements together that were conceived 40 years apart is, at first glance, an unlikely love story, but the LD Zero H projects a sense of seamless familiarity that is a testament to the expertise of Nike’s master ‘editor’.

The Nike HTM Air Max LD Zero H will be available on nike.com/airmax from March 20th and at select Nike Sportswear retailers on Air Max Day.
