UPDATE: We know for a fact there is a bunch of AJ heads out there still trying to get their hands on this double pack, lucky for ya'll, Kith NYC currently still got sizes on hand  — if you have a sleezy $700 USD laying around.

UPDATE: The Jordan MTM pack will be hitting two Footaction stores on the 8th of August. If you're around Chicago or Las Vegas this weekend, head to the local Flight 23 store to try and get ahold of this piece of history!

is the sportswear company's upper echelon line of product; a department led by the triple threat combo of Hiroshi Fujiwara, Tinker Hatfield and Mark Parker with the single goal of releasing the dopest gear with innovative design as the primary focus....but if you're reading Sneaker Freaker you already know this! The HTM imprint is responsible for some of the most hyped releases in recent years, and insiders knew it was only a matter of time before The Swoosh would try and replicate the HTM success within the Jordan Brand umbrella to create the most sought after product of epic proportions. Earlier this month, Nike Inc. finally announced Jordan MTM as part of the Air Jordan line's 30th anniversary, combining the talents of MJ, Tinker and Mark, bringing their vision from HTM to the Air Jordan lineage.

“HTM [the collaboration between Hiroshi Fujiwara, Parker and Hatfield] started really around taking existing silhouettes and just slightly reimagining them in unique versions,” said Hatfield, currently Nike Vice President of Creative Concepts. “That is what we are looking at here, taking these existing products and just twisting them a little bit.”

The very first release from Jordan MTM is the MTM Pack you see in the gallery above; a pack consisting of a pair of s and that encapsulates the 30 year journey Jordan Brand has taken, a nod to its beginnings in 1985 while looking forward to where it is now in 2015. The two sneakers swap their respective uppers, with the AJ1 donning a grey/black Flyweave upper with the XX9 wears a rich leather construction above its icy sole.

Dropping on the 27th of June at select NikeLab accounts, this release will be beyond ridiculously impossible to get ahold of, and even if you do get a chance to purchase, be prepared for the $700 price tag. While the debut Jordan MTM release may not appeal to everyone, we are extremely excited for what the future holds for Jordan Brand moving forward. The company have definitely responded to its detractors this year with providing ultra premium product and accurate retros, but will the difficulty of obtaining a pair of Jumpmans continue to increase its desirability, or will the sneakerhead masses tire from the onslaught of hurting wallets, camp outs, raffles and webstore crashes and just give up on Jays altogether? I guess we'll find out soon enough, but either way these joints are gonna disappear like hotcakes!
