UPDATE: We have had you hanging onto your hats for this one, and today we can finally reveal some official images and release info. The Air Jordan 1 '86 'Kumquat' edition will drop from the trees this Saturday, June 21st.

Kumqauts aren't too tasty on their own, you should probably stick 'em in some sorta jam with stacks of sugar, although they are apparently the 'only citrus fruits that can be enjoyed whole.' We do recommend repping them on your shoes though, because the colour has a lot of dazzle to it, as you can see on this Air Jordan 1 Retro '86. That long name is due to the genesis of the sneak – the OG  dropped in 1985 but this version is a bit of a hybrid beast, it takes some cues from the 1986-born , like the molded heel panel and wing logo tongue. Most of this little betty is dressed in white, but some of the AJ2 eccentricities are highlighted in kumquat - clever, Jordan Brand, clever. Stay tuned for release info and see more treats like this in Sneaker Freaker Issue 30.
