Emerica and Altamont recently hijacked the lower deck of London store Slam City to create their own slice of heaven in the UK capital. The iconic store has been in operation since 1986, a mighty feat in a city which is not exactly known for its extreme fondness of kickflips. To celebrate they've released their own Slam City shoe, which is a pretty straight-shooting mix of orange pops and black suede with a canvas back half, jazzed up with some custom art by illustrator Arran Gregory. Drop by yourself and tell them Sneaker Freaker said you could have a whopping discount - as long as you take your pants off and touch your toes! As seen in Issue 18 of Sneaker Freaker.
From the press release:
After setting up shop in Slam’s Covent Garden store basement earlier this year, Emerica once again teamed up with Slam, along with their friend and illustrator Arran Gregory, to produce an exclusive collaboration version of the Laced shoe.
Featuring Arran’s distinctive custom artwork on the insole and box art, and the Slam ‘rat signal’ logo on the tongue in homage to the London skate scene, the shoe is a classic make up with a black suede toe piece and canvas upper. Available exclusively at Slam City Skates stores in Neals Yard and Carnaby Street, and their online shop: www.slamcity.com.
