SBTG and the Royalefam crew team up with Converse and Taiwanese brand Overkill to present their new collaboration, 'Born To Kill'. Inspired by Stanley Kubrick's Full Metal Jacket, the shoe represents the struggles within a soldier's mind. During the Vietnam war GIs were known to scrawl defiant prose on their helmets that became catchcries for the conflict, such as 'We the unwilling; led by the unqualified, are doing the impossible, for the ungrateful!' and 'Ye though I walk thru the valley of death, I shall fear no evil, for I am the eviliest son of bitch in the valley!' Taking the film's iconic tag line, the SBTG x Overkill colab adds patches and a camouflage zipper to a Converse Chuck, with bullet tears as a poignant reminder of war's hardship.
