The restrained simplicity had us transported back in time to our teenage years, when endless summers were spent seeking the type of rubber thrills found only in proper sports stores. With a classic mesh/felt upper and a sky-high jacked heel, it’s so very tempting to stack the Shadow 6000 against the ubiquitous air-bagged Max 90, but we’d never do that would we? Still, it’s no surprise to learn that the Shadow 6000 was first introduced back in 1991 as a highly technical whip, which offered the ultimate ride. This thing just reeks of vintage running.
