PUMA X FRESH PRINCE OF BEL-AIR

Ever since dropping the Yo!MTV Raps joints, Puma have hit hard with bringing back ‘90s inspired goodness into their footwear range. It seems they are the one brand trying to revive an era that is so hip to be square right now; the colours and styles fit in perfect with the silhouettes Puma has to offer. They must be on to a good thing too, with case in point, being that most heads that are relatively new to the scene were just being born in this explosive era. What better way to educate and also reminisce (for us late ‘60s and ‘70s kids) at a time where everything was extra peachy and Corey Worthington wasn’t around. Something tells us Corey will be rocking these though! The design and material inspiration for the products is drawn from the lifestyle clash of street versus preppy, in two very different executions and footwear styles, each completed with matching wristwatches.

The WEST PHILLY FIRST ROUND
Sports the original graffiti artwork featured in the opening sequence of the show. This sequence has a similar look and feel to the music videos DJ Jazzy Jeff and The Fresh Prince were creating at the time. Shoe features include a classic suede vamp, a rubber fine mold Fresh Prince of Bel-Air logo on the tongue and 3D screen-printed side panel.

The BEL-AIR CLYDE
This white croc shoe is a true gem, embossed with classic croc and constructed with the best Italian leather available. The shoe features a PUMA X Fresh Prince medallion badge, metallic gold formstrip and lining, Bel-Air raised screen-print and exclusive artwork from the show’s graffiti wall on the sock-liner.

Both shoes come in a specially designed velvet shoe bag, embellished with metallic gold embroidery. The two wristwatches follow the same design principle: the acid green PU wristband AGITATION digital model stand for Will’s West Philly days, and contrasts against the golden FORCER Bel-Air model.

The shoes launch on May 17 2008, in Provider Melbourne & Hype Pitt St, Sydney.
