The GV Vilas will go on sale May 19 at Prime St Kilda, Platypus in Bondi, Newtown and Melb Central, Highs and Lows, Apartment, Footage and LAX.

One of our favorites of last year, the GV is a nice chunky model with more than a passing resemblance to the California. Here's a new version, this one features a classy creamy leather and a bright yellow sole. There's also some extra tennis details such as Vilas' image on the tongue which celebrates the moment he won the French Open in 1977. Look out for some raunchier colours of this shoe over the next year or so...
On the tennis court, Guillermo Vilas, or the “Young Bull of Pampas” as he was also known, was a head-banded fashion-conscious playboy who defined a new era of cool. In 1991, he cemented his legendary status when he was inducted into the International Tennis Hall of Fame.
Based on the original GV silhouette, a style Guillermo Vilas made as famous as his signature sweatband, this new edition features creamy white leather with a perforated gray suede toe and Argentina-blue leather formstipe. The graphic on the sockliner showcases a Hall of Fame tribute logo with the PUMA cat.

The heel logo on the left shoe is marked with ‘19’ and the right with ‘91’, marking his induction date into the International Tennis Hall of Fame. The shoe also features light blue or white shoe laces, as well as an Argentina-yellow sole.
