The year was 1977 and the Argentinean tennis ace, style icon and renowned playboy, Guillermo Vilas, was having the season of his life - and was wearing the shoes to prove it. Based on the original silhouette, a style Guillermo Vilas made as famous as his signature sweatband, the new edition features creamy white leather with a perforated suede toe and suede formstipe.
The graphic on the sockliner features highlights from Vilas’ career accomplishments, including his wins at the 1977 US and French Opens. The heel logo on the left shoe is marked with ‘19’ and the right with ‘77’, paying homage to his most remarkable year. Special inserts in the box include a white terry sweatband with navy PUMA logo and a trump style trading card highlighting Vilas’ stellar career. The shoes are wrapped in “From The Puma Archives” print tissue paper.
