In the year of 1985, the M1300 was released as the New Balance flagship model. The best efficiency of cushioning depends on ENCAP technology which was used on this model first time ever on their history. After 14 years later, on the year of 1999, M1700 as a symbolic model of NEW BALANCE was released just before new century. This high-end model made NEW BALANCE freaks satisfied enough. You just can’t imagine how comfortable it was to be wearing. Much more than people were imagining. It was rarely (at this period) used a big piece of ABZORB for of course good cushioning, but more... “FULL SLIP LASTING” for excellent fit.
OSHMAN’S was established in 1985, the same year that M1300 was released. The first store was opened in HARAJUKU, TOKYO. We have been recognizing as the sporting goods company originally from United States, and selected many items which has drawn the line of any others selected. Therefore, we could become one of the most trustable shops in the nation. This year, we turned 25 years since established. For 25th anniversary, we collaborated with NEW BALANCE on its exclusive model of 1700.
This new model was designed with rip-stop check pattern with the combination of black and white colors, and titled with the initial of “S&L” which inspired the line connects between the point of Sports and Lifestyle. These two points are also the policy of OSHMAN’S ABZORB was used on the heel part of insole and the contrast of black and white colors made the printed logo of OSHMAN’S and NEWBALANCE accentuated. XXV as the roman number of 25 was arranged on the tip of the shoelace as the lace cover for the special impression of 25th anniversary. Nylon shank on the mid sole was placed such as a hoof. This function is good for better stability and better fit.
