NIKE DUNK X SBTG (PRISON BLUES)

It's a well-known fact that no-one reworks the Dunk quite like SBTG. From low to high, the sneaker customiser has become synonymous with creating cutting edge designs, a fact not lost on Nike. Last year the Swooshters sent the artist a special limited edition, eight-compartment locker containing seven original College Dunks to commemorate the Dunk's 20th anniversary, and it has become SBTG's vision to create the ultimate eighth sneaker to complete the series.

‘In an attempt to fill the eighth and final space in the locker for the Varsity Bones series of dunks, SBTG has managed to thread through his theme of fictitious teams and ghost colleges but with a slight twist on this final dunk. Creating a fictitious prison called Folsom Prison and drawing inspiration from the Johnny Cash song, ‘Folsom Prison Blues', the shoe details lyrics on the swoosh, raw denim uppers, zippers and a train-track escape route graphic. A low cut version is currently in production as we speak so stay tuned for more info.' Info and images from Plus Six Five
