Two rivals created by Tinker Hatfield, each debuted in 1987. One revolutionized running on air, while the other revolutionized the aesthetic of footwear design forever, through pattern and print. Revisiting the era of the Air Max 1 and the Air Safari, Nike Sportswear remixed two icons to create something entirely new. In Fall 2009, this Air Max collection makes use of the Air Safari’s iconic leopard print pattern and teams the Safari’s premium leather with the Air Max’s Air Sole. With women’s colorways taking the concept to the next level, the Safari Print is laser-etched to perfection across an array of vibrant color tones.
