At first glance the Nike 6.0 Mavrk comes across as just another easygoing lo-tech suede skate vulc. But there’s a lot more here than meets the eye. For starters, the deep FREE-like grooves in the sticky-gum sole provide awesome flex and traction, giving the wearer unhindered board control. Keeping on the green theme, Nike employed a revolutionary ‘cold wrap’ construction for the sole unit that benefits the environment by eliminating the use of harsh solvents during production. The technique also reduces the shoe’s overall weight and provides increased cushioning, so its hugs all round! Look out for these in the coming months.
