Nike 6.0 has collaborated with prolific street artist Mark Paul Deren (a.k.a. Madsteez) and artist brand Poketo, to create the StinkWeen Braata and an accompanying limited edition Madsteez Braata wallet by Poketo. California-based Madsteez mentored emerging artist Evan 'Stink' Rossell on the project. In a series of all-night, art-fueled brainstorming sessions, they created the character 'StinkWeen'—a fusion of Madsteez’s scrappy cartoon self-portrait 'Weeneze' and a mischievous alter-ego doodle by Stink. 'StinkWeen represents both me and Stink, much like a Dr. Jeckel and Mr. Hyde relationship,' says Deren.
Extremely limited quantities of the StinkWeen Braata will come with a very special Poketo x Nike 6.0 'Madsteez Braata Wallet' made exclusively for the shoe. Poketo, an art driven brand that has collaborated with premier artists around the world has joined with Madsteez to design this wallet featuring madcap illustrations of his StinkWeen character. Channeling the Madsteez/Stink split personality, the artists made their shoe in two different colors. The men’s version in green and the women’s version in purple. Signature StinkWeen artwork graces the sole and insole. The Nike 6.0 StinkWeen Braata and Poketo wallet drops July 24th at select retailers including Jacks at Huntington Beach, and the Nike 6.0 Motel NoTell in San Clemente, CA.
