PRESS RELEASE
Hanon-shop is proud to present a joint project with New Balance. Our latest venture, entitled the Bionic project is a three-way collaboration that incorporates fabric innovations by Eschler of Switzerland. For this latest release we looked to explore the possibilities of connecting a performance fabric to an icon from the New Balance archive. This project sees the classic M576 running shoe reworked with Ceramic E3+, an innovative material developed by Eschler.
Established in 1927, Eschler is known for manufacturing state of the art textiles for the outdoor and sports industry. E3+ is a sophisticated fabric that incorporates modern membrane technology. Printed with a polyurethane ceramic coating and embedded with diamond hard particles the material is breathable and weather resistant, lightweight and extremely durable.
The trend towards using finer and softer fabrics in the production of outdoor wear contradicts the clothing’s practical specifications which require robustness and durability. Eschler E3+ pushes these boundaries as the ceramic printed fabric offers the perfect synergy for both wearing comfort and resistance to mechanical wear.
The Bionic Project comprises of two M576 styles. Each model has a fully customised upper with featured detail that is unique to this release. Both have been manufactured at the world famous New balance Flimby factory and constructed with premium material sourced from across the globe.
