NEW BALANCE 998 (AMERICAN MADE)

The New Balance 998 was reborn a few years ago as part of the high-luxury Super Team 33 Luggage pack. Leading up to the release NB fans across Europe, Japan and the US were polled to find out what long-lost model from the vault they most desperately wanted to see reissued, with the 998 being the overwhelming choice. Combining the muscle of a 580 with the sleek responsiveness of an 850, the 998 continues to be a crowd-pleaser with this latest model stripping away the fancy frills of the ST 33 project for a more down to earth, All-American blue-denim look. There’s a slight blue tinge to the soft grey suede of the upper, while the navy mesh toe box and red-striped midsole give the shoe a patriotic punch. The release wears its heart on its tongue with the words ‘Made in USA’ proudly emblazoned for all to see. Thanks to Mita for the images.
