Lacoste delve into the mythology surrounding their infamous crocodile logo with their new pack entitled 'Crocodile Mythology - Myth vs. Legend’. The collection consists of nine styles from various cultural centres of the globe, with each sneaker detailing stories adapted from the tennis brand icon.For more information on the pack, check out our extensive feature here.
The inspiration for the Tennis Polynesia comes from the New Guinea crocodile and traditional Polynesian carvings. The various tones are reminiscent of the brown shadings of the crocodile, whilst the embossed crocodile styled skin on the side of the shoe resembles its hard body armour. The subtle totem pole styled design around the shoe relates to traditional Polynesian carvings.
