The kooky Euro crew Club Zonder Filter are back and ready for part three of their LA Gear takeover. Not content with blasting out the Patta x Stardust, and more recently the Old Skool, the ladies are set to release the '90s studded wonderkid aka the Border Flower. With flashes of Michael Jackson (RIP) rolled into a slobbering Paula Abdul, the Border Flower looks set to drop this December at Europe's finest sneaker joints. Unfortunately for the rest of us, these bedazzled babes are a distant dream, so get your hook up sorted!
PRESS RELEASE
It all started exactly a year ago, when the Patta x Club Zonder Filter shoe was released; L.A. Gear's big comeback had finally arrived! After being back in business for a year now, we can proudly say that L.A. Gear's comeback has not just been an empty hype, and that we have succeeded in getting L.A. Gear back on the list of brands that matter. Our shoes are sold in stores throughout Europe, such as: Colette, 24 Kilates, Limited Edition and No Boys Allowed. We were flooded with requests to retro the Flame, L.A. Lights and other vintage models, but for the first 10 months you all had to settle for the Stardust. But we gonna make it up with you, cause L.A. Gear is gonna come with not one, but two models within 6 months! The party already got started back in July, with the retro of the Flame model, in it's original colorways. Shortly afterwards more, brand new colorways of the Flame were released.
The time is now for a somewhat forgotten shoe, but one of our personal favourites: The Border Flower. This shoe got it's name from the perforated floral designs featured on the shoe's side panel. A studded version of the Border Flower will be released this winter, round about December. They feature a white, red or black colorway, woven leather and gold studs. The perfect Christmas present. The look and feel of this shoe is inspired by the late eighties, early nineties pop style of icons such as Paula Abdul and Michael Jackson. Also contemporary icons, such as Rye Rye and M.I.A, were of a great inspiration to us.
Future....
Last year we announced that there might have been some L.A.Gear men's shoes releasing round about this time, but for now L.A. Gear is sticking with the Ladies! Given the huge success of the Ladies line, we want to focus on that for the moment. But there are some international collabos and other interesting developments in the works though.
