Over the weekend, Nike gave Kobe Bryant fans the opportunity to win a limited edition Aston Martin Kobe boxed set. With the 200 competition winners set to receive the full purple carpet treatment, including a VIP invitation to the interactive Aston Martin-Kobe Bryant crossover experience during Nike Basketball's takeover of the Staples Center in Los Angeles on Thursday, May 13, it's little wonder the entry window was a mere 48 hours!
The winner's limited edition sneaker pack consists of an Aston Martin Kobe Hyperdunk and Aston Martin Kobe V, one of the most desirable Nike x Kobe releases out there and a pack that wouldn't be possible if it weren't for the famed 2008 viral video. Both models feature a colourway inspired by the silver Aston Martin that's seen in the Nike commercial, along with quotes by Kobe Bryant that were made during the video. The Nike "I Got This" Sweepstakes has also been created to help the Los Angeles Unified School District (who recently reported a shortage of funds for the city's sports) raise $256K to save their high schools athletic programs.
