DR ROMANELLI X CONVERSE

Converse has flagged this new colab with the inventive mind of Dr Romanelli. An updated version of the iconic Chuck Taylor silhouette, the Chuck Taylor All Star Cup is a mouthful and a half for a new model, but there's no doubt that the modifications add a certain refinement to this wardrobe staple. You can't get more patriotic than the Stars and Stripes and in this case, Romanelli, also known as Darren to his mates, has fused the most classic Americana reference with arguably the most renowned sneaker of all time. Both versions of the shoe sport 12-ounce duck canvas and leather with heritage details including gum soles and woollen toe caps, Romanelli's nod to vintage pea coats. Fixed with the 'Dr X' tag on the tongue, a mere 156 pairs of these bald eagles are exclusively available at Offspring in the UK!

As seen in Sneaker Freaker Issue 19
